Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
The prescription to all our problems is the Word of God. The word of God not only heals our broken soul but also heals our physical body. There is medication to anxiety, arthritis and allergy in the Word of God. Reading, meditating and munching on God’s word heals us inside out. When we incline our ear to His Word, pay attention, meditate, process and impress it upon our heart, His word has the same effect of the prescription medicines such as amoxicillin, penicillin or erythromycin. Psalms 107:20 He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Medical miracles are a result of taking God’s prescription with reverence and deference. An antibiotic will have no effect if it is not taken as prescribed. If we have to take it three times a day with food, the medicine will have no effect if we miss the methodology. Similarly, the Word of God must be taken like prescription tablets regularly, methodically and reverentially.
The Italian centurion who came to Jesus with a request to heal his servant, was fully aware that all he needed was the verbal medication from Dr. Jesus. The centurion did not consider himself worthy to invite Jesus to his home, but just requested for a word of healing. The moment, Jesus spoke the servant was healed. It took about 24 hours for the centurion to reach his home town, but the servant was healed as soon as Jesus spoke the words of healing. Matthew 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment. God’s Word travels swiftly. Psalms 147:15 He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly.
The prescription for cancer, corona virus and cold is in God’s Word:
1. Allergy: Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant. God can heal us from food allergy or hypersensitivity. Adverse remarks of people, caretakers, bosses, teachers can cause bad allergic reaction to the soul as food can cause allergies to our physical body. If the hole in the soul is not healed by God’s word, the devil will fill it with drinks, drugs or donuts! 1 Timothy 4:4-5 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.
2. Anxiety: Anxiety is not a medical condition but a mental state and the cure to anxiety and hypertension is Philippines 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Pray, petition, praise and rest.
3. Arthritis: Psalm 38:7 For my loins are filled with burning; And there is no soundness in my flesh. Unresolved anger, antagonism and annoyance can result in arthritis. This condition cannot be cured medically; it can only be managed. James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. Forgiving the offenders, praying and blessing the wrongdoers will bring physical healing to our body.
