John 14:9b Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
To revive the image of God submerged and sunk by the flood of sin, we must rediscover the original design and blueprint in which we were created. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Jesus said, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Hence our original production was in the likeness, resemblance and reflection of the nature of Christ Jesus. The more we get to know Jesus, the better we will discover our original image.
No one knows a product better than it’s manufacturer. If we buy a television, it comes with a manual that gives us instructions. The instruction manual teaches us to set up, use and enjoy the product. However, 99% of us seldom read the guidebook. If there are 30 functions, we barely use three – on, off and Channel. Similarly, God has given us a manual contained in 66 books complied in the Old and New Testaments. The more we read and digest it, the more we will understand who we are, our functions, strengths and potential. Most people limit themselves to three basic functions of eating, sleeping and working. They repeat these until they die. Furthermore, if we get stuck with any of the functions mentioned in the manual, the manufacturer has a “divine heavenly call centre” which is open 24/7 to help us to navigate through the manual. Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Our calls are never put on hold by the divine call centre; we will never be asked to wait or call back as King Jesus is busy attending to other calls!
Three steps to rediscover your original image:
1. Read: Read the Bible methodically, regularly and meticulously. Read your Bible daily. Blessed is the man who reads and meditates on His Word day and night. His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light (Psalms 1:2 TPT). Read with a thirst to understand and rediscover your original design and to reinstate the image of God in you. Read the manufacturer’s manual.
2. Repeat: Repeat God’s thoughts about you – “You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people” (1 Peter 2:9). Jesus only spoke what He heard from the Father. John 12:49 I don’t speak on my own. I say only what the Father who sent me has told me to say. He has taught us to lean on the bosom of the Father, to hear His heartbeat and repeat what He says. To reinstate the image of God in our lives we must repeat God’s voice and views. Repeat the manufacture’s guidebook.
3. Remodel: Jesus is the true reflection of the image of God, so if we imitate Jesus we will radiate the image of God through our lives. John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. When our soul is under the direction of the Holy Spirit and our body is subservient to the obedient soul, then we will remodel, reflect and radiate our original blueprint, the image of God.
Read the manual of the Divine Manufacturer to rediscover the image hidden in you and repeat and remodel Jesus to radiate the original image of God.
John 15:5b Apart from me you can do nothing.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to rediscover my original design from your divine manual the Bible. Teach me to tune-in and listen to you, respond to the challenges and truly reflect Jesus in and through my life. Amen
