12 Kings 6:18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So He struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.
The millennials cannot comprehend life without internet or power. Just a few minutes of outage will drive them crazy. Similarly, our prayers can penetrate into the spiritual realm and strike hell with power and connectivity outage and drive demons crazy! The King of Aram, the enemy of the King of Israel was annoyed with Prophet Elisha who operated as the “vigilance excellence bureau” to Israel. Elisha forewarned Israel about the plots that were planned in the secret chambers of Aram. Infuriated by Elisha’s prophetic gift, the King of Aram sent troops to capture Elisha. The Lord God not only warned Elisha about the invading army but He also sent an armed angelic host of horses and chariots of fire to encircle them. Furthermore, Elisha prayed for a “power outage” in hell and struck the enemy’s force with blindness!
We understand three important truths from this ‘prayer of power outage’:
1. Outnumber: Divine help will always outnumber the dreadful demons. The Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha (2 Kings 6:17). The King of Aram sent horses, chariots and a strong force but the Lord sent horses and chariots of fire. Remember the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear the Lord (Psalms 34:7). Our reverential fear of the Lord will automatically commission the divine security alert services, 24/7. The angel who watched over Elisha had called for more help even before the troops were dispatched from Aram. God watches over us night and day. The attack of the enemy is no surprise to Heaven. He sees what we do not see and responds to what we are not even aware of. Our divine bodyguards will always outnumber the demonic intruders.
2. Outwit: There are no secrets in hell! Even the whispers in the pit of hell is broadcasted in loudspeakers in Heaven to alert the angelic hosts. Before the dirty strategy is concluded in hell and the demons are dispatched against us, protection is sent to surround us. “But Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.” (2 Kings 6:12) . The protection of the Lord always outwits the plan of the enemy.
3. Outage: We have access to switch-off the power in hell. Devil nor the demons have access to light. Elisha prayed and the Lord struck the enemy’s troops with blindness and they did not know where they were. Pray powerful “power outage prayers” to blind the enemy who is coming to steal your joy, job and jewellery. Blind the enemies that come against the peace, unity and oneness of your family. Strike the demons at your workplace with sightless and senselessness. Blackout the demons that come to steal your ministry, marriage and money. Throw hell into jeopardy and strike them with complete darkness and blindness by praying prayers of outage.
Pray powerful prayers and strike hell with power outage.
Job 22:28 What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to pray prayers of “power outage” and would strike the demons blindness and throw hell into confusion. Amen
