20 October 2021 – Battle Strategies – Part 6

Exodus 17:9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”

The Amalekites were sorcerers who were morally corrupt, filthy and transmitters of infectious curses. This was a unique battle where Moses stood up in the mountain with the staff lifted up towards Heaven while Joshua fought the battle in the valley. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning (Exodus 17:11). When the hands of Moses grew tired, and sagged, Aaron and Hur held his hands up. For Joshua to win the battle, Moses had to have his hands raised up in prayer. Moses raised the staff of God to beat down the incantation, invocation, spells and enchantments of the Amalekites.

Battles to wipeout curses must be fought in unity, harmony and integrity.  Battles to reverse, rescind and repeal curses must be fought with one or two sincere prayer warriors. The Word of God says, “One can chase a thousand and two can put ten thousand to flight”. An attack from bloodline generational curses, self-proclaimed curses, curses from witchcraft, blackmagic, sorcery, disobedience or iniquity would need a battalion to lift their hands and voices in unison to reverse the canon of curses. An army of prayer warriors can resist the invasion that comes from unknown loopholes so as to arrest and rebuff the demonic forces. This is one scenario which would require team effort and armed spiritual soldiers to stand alongside us. Obliterate chants, charms and curses to win the battle.

Battle strategies to overcome the generational curses:

  1. Crawling: Amalekites insidiously crept in and hurt the faint, weak and vulnerable.  “Remember what Amalek did to you on your journey out of Egypt,” “how he attacked you on the way, when you were faint and weary, and struck down all who lagged behind you; he did not fear God (1 Sam. 15:2). Curses will creep in and steal, kill and destroy the family, fame and fortune at our most weakest and susceptible moments. Find a Moses and fast regularly to fight the curses that cunningly crawl through the cracks. Team-up to steam-out the crawling demons.
  1. Consuming: The Amalekite brutality started on the way to Canaan, then continued during the time of Judges (Judges 3:13 & 6:3), then during the rule of King Saul (1 Samuel 15:2-3). They stole David’s belongings in 1 Samuel 30 and Haman, the man who tried to annihilate the Jews in the book of Esther was also an Amalekite. When there is a pattern of loss, failure or defeat from generation to generation do not be gullible. There is a consuming locust that is feeding on your fate. An organized fasting will drive out the devouring demon. Band-up and boot-out consuming demons.
  1. Chewing: The Amalekites were coldblooded and callous. They would insidiously creep-in and chew-up from within. Repeated betrayals by family, friends, colleagues, employees or apprentices are chewing demons that masticates our success, promotion and elevation. Repeated injustice is a chewing locust. Gang-up and crush the chewing demons.

Resolute fasting and prayer with prayer warriors will break the hold of curse and win the Amalekite spirit.

Exodus 17:13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, Give me a Moses to stand alongside with me to fast, pray, intercede and drive-out the crawling, consuming and chewing Amalekites that relentlessly attack my family from generation to generation.  Amen.
