Job 42:2 I know that You can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained or thwarted.
“God’s plan cannot be stopped by a bad break, a sickness or somebody walking out on you. All of the forces of darkness cannot keep you from your destiny”. God is unstoppable and when we follow Him, we will be unstoppable! The crashing stock market, the consuming COVID or the cursing demonic colossus cannot stop our progress. When Joshua took charge, the Lord promised him, “if you follow Me and have fellowship with Me you will be unstoppable”. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go (Joshua 1:7b). Success is not defined by our achievements but by accomplishing God’s purpose for us.
When the Lord is leading us, our journey will be like following the ‘pilot vehicle’ of a president. A convoy of motorcades will precede a highly placed government official or a very important political figure. Normally, dozens of vehicles with armed force and law enforcement support will go before the VIP. As God’s children we have the pilot motorcade of angelic accompaniment going before us to make way, clear the way or create a way where there is no way. Even the most powerful force on earth, the Pharaoh or the iron chariots of the Egyptian army could not stop Moses and the Israelite throng from fleeing Egypt. The angel of God was going before them and the Lord was their rear guard. The angel of God, who was going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them (Exodus 14:19). Back stabbing cannot stop us, betrayal will not deter us and bitter billowing will not swallow us. We are unstoppable when we follow our divine pilot Jesus.
Three cautions to become unstoppable:
- Follow: Read the Word. We hear the voice of God when we read the Word of God. A very familiar verse, a word, a syllable, a concept or the context of the text will burn like fire in our hearts. His Word will lead us into truth, justice and purity. Read the Bible and you will not miss the flashing lights of the pilot vehicle. Follow His voice.
- Fellowship: Fellowship with Him. Regular catching up with a friend will keep us on tab with their whereabouts. Similarly, our regular and routine fellowship with the Lord will keep us close to the pilot vehicle. Prayerlessness is like texting while driving! We will lose the bandwidth of the pilot vehicle, miss the route, rush and crash. Fellowship keeps the divine signal strong.
- Fear: Fear God not man. “Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being trapped” (Proverbs 3:25-26). The incursion of the enemy will turn into a disaster and destroy them but will not harm us. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life (Joshua 1:5a). Fear is the only stumbling block that can stop our progress. Trust God and fear no man or demon.
Follow the pilot vehicle, fellowship with the Saviour and fear no man to be unstoppable.
Romans 8:31 If God be for us, who can be against us?
Prayer: Jesus my guiding light, please go before me and make the crooked path straight. With you I will be unstoppable. Amen.
