06 January 2022 – Unstoppable – Part 6

Ezekiel 22:30 I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.

One is too many for the Lord. God is looking for an ‘one man army’ to partner and proliferate purity and piety in the world. He needs, one praying man or woman who is willing to passionately pursue their calling; one person who is submissive to serve and one soul that is willing to be disciplined to change the trajectory of a country, community or creed.  A selfless, subservient servant of God who is willing to stand in the gap to pray and plead for their family and the sins of the nation, is like a dangerous unstoppable dynamite.

God does not need the involvement of man to influence the world but He chooses to partner with us to demonstrate His power through our weakness. “Without God, man cannot, and without man, God will not” – Saint Augustine. One man who is walking with God is mightier than the multitudes. God is looking for one Abraham Lincoln, one Martin Luther King and one Nelson Mandela to end the brutality of slavery. He is looking for one Michelangelo, Mozart  and Martin Luther to influence and infiltrate the world with the canvas, compositions and reformations. With God on our side we will be unstoppable.

The power of God working in and through us is unstoppable:

  1. Man-Power: The power of God does not need manpower to influence the world. It is not people support or popularity but the anointing (power of God) that makes us unstoppable.  It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8). Leaning on fame and favour of men, will make us ‘people pleasers’. “Don’t be afraid of losing people, be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please people”. One weak Albanian nun and missionary has left indelible footprints of the love of Jesus on the streets of Calcutta, India. God does not need the man-power but nothing can stop of the power of God flowing through a surrendered soul.
  1. Muscle-Power:  The power of God does not need muscle-power to turn the world around.  “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless” (Isaiah 40:29).  The Salvation Army was founded by William Booth, a Methodist minister in 1865 to feed and house the poor. Today, it serves the destitute, helpless and hopeless in 132 countries around the world. God does not need muscle-power – however, the muscle of man, empowered by the power of God, is unstoppable.
  1. Mind-Power: God does not need our intelligent quotient, He only need our emotional quotient to be submitted to the spiritual quotient.  Let the weakling say, “I am strong!” (Joel 3:10). Standing against the probabilities, possibilities and prognosis and bringing our emotions under the control of the promises of God, makes us unbelievably indomitable. God does not need our qualifications, associations or occupations, He only needs our subservient perceptions.

God does not need our resolutions or revolutions, He only needs our reception to host His power to flow through our muscle and mind. The power of God flowing through a meek man is unstoppable.

Matthew 19:26 “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Prayer: Hosts of Heaven, may the mastery of my muscle and the meditation of my mind be instruments of your power and influence, to transform this world. Amen.
