14 April 2022 – A Day at Hell – Part 6

Ecclesiastes 3:11a He has also set eternity in the hearts of men.

Even a hardcore atheist has a longing desire in his heart to understand about eternity.  Atheism is ignorance of the truth and theism is enlightenment of the scriptures. Most successful men who had no hope of eternity left the earth as losers. Alexander the Great had a pitiable last wish – “I want my both hands to keep dangling out of my coffin because I want people to know that we came empty-handed in this world and we will go empty-handed”.

Blaise Pascal, the French mathematician, physicist, Christian philosopher left behind the most profound quote on eternity for the atheists, “If I believe in God and life after death and you do not, and if there is no God, we both lose when we die. However, if there is a God, you still lose and I gain everything”.

Life on earth is only a short journey. Death will land us at an “interim terminal” before we board our flight to the final destination of heaven or hell. Our lifestyle on earth will determine our final flight. At the deathbed of a saint of God, (which is you and me),  there will be angels who will come to escort us to Heaven. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side.” (Luke 16:22a). Our relationship with our Heavenly Father automatically buys a ticket to heaven. The angels will pick us up from the ‘interim terminal” in a private jet and fly us to the pearly gates of heaven. On arrival, there will be a warm red-carpet welcome, celebration and commemoration. But not so with those who reject God.  There will be no one to pick them up from the interim terminal. Rather they would be nicked by creepy masked marauders and dragged into hell.  The Rich Man closed his eyes on earth and woke up in hell!(Luke 16:23).

A peep into hell cautions us to communicate with Heaven:

1.     Signs: There will be signs that will indicate if our journey is towards the wrong terminal. Rejecting righteousness, careless choices and repeated mistakes are clear signs that the journey is going south. Those who communicate with heaven have no fear of death.

2.     Signals: Follow the signals. There is no way a person can get lost on his/her journey to heaven. Our conscience and the Holy Spirit will caution us when we transgress. Those who ignore the warning signals will crash into the deep dark hole. The signals of a secured future is evident in the lifestyle.

  1. Stations: Prayer contacts the control station of Heaven regularly.  Those who converse with the Lord regularly and continuously are always prepared for unforeseen contingencies. The final destination is secured for those who communicate with the divine control station.

“Even if there was no hell, the loss of Heaven would be hell”. – Charles Spurgeon.

Matthew 10:28 Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank you for the price you paid to save me from the treachery of hell. May I be a channel to bring many into heaven. Amen.
