15 April 2022 – A Day at Hell – Part 7

Luke 13:28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.”

Meteorologists can forecast the weather but it is nearly impossible to predict where a tornado will touch down. It is not so, with the temperature of hell. The purpose of hell has been clearly defined. It is not a place for human souls. The causes that mislead a soul, and cautions about hell are all detailed in the Bible. “God will never send anybody to hell. If man goes to hell, he goes by his own free choice.”— Billy Graham.

Hell is described as a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth. Weeping is a state of wailing with no words to describe the pain. Gnashing of teeth is a state where lamenting cannot bring any relief. The wicked thoughts, deeds and ferocity of the spirit-man will be completely exposed in hell. The soul, (mind, will & emotions) will be naked without the earthen suit of flesh and blood. There will be no FB façade to cover the malign. The souls will be able to recognize each other. The demons will know each occupant of hell by name with their biography and life history. Hell will be infested with millions of demonic spirits. A third of the disobedient fallen angels abode in hell. Thousands of lethal, violent, ravaging demonic spirits would be attacking, haunting, taunting and torturing the inhabitants of hell.

Three words that will never be spoken in hell:

1.     Sorry: Hell is a place of regret not repentance. There is no negotiation in hell. The Rich Man pleaded with Abraham to send Lazarus with a glass of water to hell but he did not petition to be pulled out of the torment. ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ (Luke 16:24).  The opportunity to say “sorry” ceases on this earth. Once the earthen suit disengages with the soul and the spirit, the word ‘sorry’ will be wiped out of our memory.

2.     Thank You: No request in hell will be granted, hence the need to thank will never arise. All requests, pleas and remorse will be left unanswered. The petition of Lazarus was gently turned down by Abraham. Those in hell will be in ‘acceptance’ not in ‘purgatory’.

  1. God: The prophets, the throne of God and Heaven will be ‘visible’ but not ‘accessible’. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved (Joel 2:32)The ability to call on the name of the Lord will be lost forever once we die. ‘Jesus save me’ will be at the tip of the tongue but can never be uttered by the souls in hell.

Even our worst venomous, vicious and virulent enemy should not go to hell. Hell is the stinking ghetto for the evil, disobedient and malevolent demons and satan.

Psalm 37:12 – The wicked plots against the righteous. And gnashes at him with his teeth.

Prayer: Jesus My Saviour, You have done everything you can to save us from the horror of hell fire. Help us to reach the unreached and save them from eternal torment. Amen.
