17 April 2022 – Heaven is Real – Part 2

Revelation 21:23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

There are no artificial lights in Heaven. No LED lights, no flash lights or flood lights to illuminate Heaven for the Glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The radiance of the Lord will inundate through the length and breadth of the city of Heaven. Jesus is the light of the world and is also the light of Heaven. It is the brightness of the Lamb that was sacrificed on the cross and scars of His resurrected body that will radiate as light in Heaven. The energy source of Heaven is the Glory of God and the magnificence of the Lamb. “The Glory” is simply His splendor and grandeur.

There will be no darkness, death or decay in Heaven. There will be no angels driving garbage trucks, no trashcans and no decomposing trash. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4). We will not find hospitals, hospice or funeral homes as there will be no more deaths. Tear glands and tissues will not be found as there will be no more mourning or crying. No pharmacy, physiotherapist or the need for psychotherapy as there will be neither physical nor emotional pain. The cycle of this world, ‘birth, reproduction and death’, will cease.

Truths about Heaven:

1.     Energy: The energy source of Heaven is the potent and power of the Lord God. The glow, glister and warmth of Heaven is the Lamb, Jesus. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal (Revelation 11:21). Heaven will sparkle and shine with the Glory of God.

2.     Enlighten: We will remain in a state of ecstatic excitement every moment in Heaven, for eternity! For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known (1 Corinthians 13:12). Our understanding of the scriptures is only partial on earth. When we get to Heaven our partial understanding will become complete revelation. This is why it is pointless to argue over religious rituals or denominational doctrines. Heaven will be exciting and enlightening.

  1. Embellish: The throne of God will embellish, beautify and decorate Heaven. Hence it would be a perfect and pristine, immaculate and flawless paradise. No appointments would be missed. There will be no lack, poverty, accidents, mishaps, sickness or death. Heaven will be the “perfect world” but just a gazillion times better.

Heaven will glow with the sublime beauty and will be illuminated by the Glory of the Lord. The Lamb is its lamp.

Revelation 4:3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.

Prayer: Father of Lights, when I look into your wonderful face, the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His Glory and Grace. Amen.
