01 October 2022 – The Power of the Blood – Part 7

Hebrews 12:24 You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.

The blood of Jesus has a voice in the courtroom of heaven. The blood speaks forgiveness and favour for all those who esteem the resurrected blood of Jesus.  The blood is the voice of the solicitor that arbitrates and argues for us. The accuser, the devil, is constantly hurling ugly accusations against us. The devil magnifies our faults, every little white lie, ugly envious or greedy thoughts, irritations and frustrations to demean us in the courtroom of heaven. This happens night and day, 24/7. For the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down from this place, where he stood before our God accusing them day and night (Revelation 12:10). He has not been thrown down as yet so, as we are reading this, he is smirking and slandering us constantly and persistently. However all his allegations stand cancelled when the blood starts speaking. Jesus will counter the diabolical charges and cancel his claims as He has paid for our shortcomings with His own blood. However, if the blood is not applied over our thoughts, treasons and trajectory we will permit the devil to blame and shame us.

The priest under the Mosaic covenant sprinkled blood to sanctify the altar of sacrifice. The priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the veil of the sanctuary (Leviticus 4:6). Altar was the place where the presence of God descended. There will be no presence without the sprinkling of blood. Under the new covenant applying the blood over our heart and mind will make ‘our soul’ the seat of the altar and the sanctuary of the Lord.

The Blood of Jesus is our safe sanctuary:

1.     Work: The hands of Jesus were nailed to the cross to sanctify the work of our hands. The ground was cursed because of sin. “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life (Genesis 3:17). Apply the blood of Jesus over the work of your hands, job, career, business and skills and become fruitful.

2.     Walk: The feet of Jesus were nailed to the cross to purify our path. There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12). Even the bright and brilliant ideas could lead us to the dump. Apply the blood of Jesus over your ways then God will direct your path.

3.     Worship: Start your prayer by sprinkling the blood, seal your prayer with blood and stay safe under the blood. The blood prepares our heart for worship.

The blood of Jesus puzzles and petrifies the devil. One drop of blood of Jesus is more powerful than all the devious plans of the devil

Hebrews 10:19 We have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.

Prayer: Jesus my Saviour, I apply the blood over my head, heart, hands and heels to receive forgiveness and favour through your spotless and supreme blood. Amen
