20 April 2023 – Because – Part 5

Isaiah 55:5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the LORD your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.”

Influence, authority and recognition come from the Holy One of Israel. People of different colour, creed and country will be attracted to the anointing we carry because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for He has endowed you with splendor. Anywhere in the world we see ethnic groups that share the culture, food and language congregating together. You find ‘Little India’ and ‘China Town’ in almost all major cities of the world. However, we carry a splendor that shatters the ‘norms of attraction’ based on commonalities. God will glorify us or clothe us with His brilliance. “Splendor” or “Glory” is the mark of authority and anointing.

The Pharaoh endowed Joseph with Kingly robes and ornaments when he was commissioned and installed as the leader of the nation of Egypt. Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck (Genesis 41:42). A bride is decked with wedding garments and jewelry, a fresh graduate is dressed in the graduation cloak, a priest in the Old Testament was clothed with special priestly garments. Likewise God endows us with glory to commission and install us with authority and power. The evidence of God’s glory on us is that nations whom we do not know will be attracted and gravitated towards us.

Because He has endowed you with splendor:

1.     Attract: We will attract people from north, south, east and west automatically. The sweet smelling aroma of God’s anointing in us will bring the broken, bound and battered to us.

2.     Authenticate: God authenticates those whom He has empowered with spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts without spiritual fruits defame the name of Jesus. “Gifts and abilities, no matter how magnificent, are either limited or enhanced by character.” — John Wimber. Do everything in love (1 Corinthians 16:14). Spiritual gifts backed up with sound character are the evidence of God’s grandeur and glory over us.

3.     Authority: God clothes us with authority. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20). The Pharaoh dressed Joseph in fine linen as a mark of royalty and authority. The kingly attire of God’s glory is power and authority over the dark diabolical world.

We don’t have to go after people or popularity. Nations that do not know us, will gravitate towards us, if we are dressed with godliness, authority and the character of God.

Colossians 3:14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love,

Prayer: Father God, the most valuable fine garments I can clothe myself with is in the spiritual clothing of godliness and glory. Make me an influential leader clothed in your glory, who will attract many towards the power of the cross.  Amen.
