1 Kings 18:46 After Ahab had left, the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah, and he tucked his mantle into his belt and outran Ahab in a race to the city gate of Jezreel.

When the hand of God is on your life, NObody can stop you from being blessed. – Toya Samuels

The hand of the Lord is a metaphor for the supernatural strength of the Lord to outrun the enemy. Elijah outran the chariots of Ahab. He was spiritually electrified and physically energized when the hand of the Lord came upon him. The hand of the Lord will boost us to do what is impossible to imagine or to accomplish with human strength. Elijah must have been like superman zooming through and overtaking the chariots. A horse chariot can run up to 25 to 30 miles per hour and an average human can run 5.9 or 6 miles per hour.  A chariot is five times faster than a human but when the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, he outran the chariots of Ahab.

This indicates a simple truth. When God’s hand comes upon us, we will achieve way beyond the capacity and comprehension of human strength and mind. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). His hand will come upon us and His power will work through us to accomplish and reach the heights that God has planned for us.

The hand of the Lord leads us to greatness:

1.     Capacity: God’s hand will help us to go far and beyond our human capacity. God’s hand will take us over and above our talents, skills, aptitude and ability. Our unbelief is the only thing that will limit the power of the hand of God from elevating us. Don’t look at your past; don’t look at your financial or physical inabilities, but focus on the hand of God. His hand increases our capacity way beyond our human incapability.

2.     Comprehension:  God’s hand will exceed our human understanding. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can think, imagine or envisage. If God does what we ask Him to do, then He is only as big as we are. When the job offer does not come within the timeframe that we have prayed for, or if the healing or the breakthrough is not according to our expectations, be encouraged, God is able to do far beyond your human comprehension.

3.     Courage: God’s hand endows us with courage that is far beyond our human ability. He will give us peace and confidence to face, overrun and overturn the impossible with His strength.

God’s hand clothes us with abilities and courage that are far beyond our human understanding.

Ezekiel 37:1 The hand of the LORD was on me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.

Prayer: Father God, may your hand always be upon me and may your Spirit lead me to prophecy to the dead dreams. Amen.
