03 July 2023 – The Secret of Secrecy – Part 2

Matthew 10:26 “Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.”

‘Someday, honesty, trustworthiness, and loyalty will be appreciated and rewarded.’

The secrets hidden deep down in our hearts are broadcasted on the mega display screens in heaven. There are discussions about our secret and private life in the court room of heaven. Then the Lord said to satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” (Job 1:8). The Lord God was bragging about the honesty, truthfulness and loyalty of Job to satan, the devil. What we go through on earth does not always represent what is discussed in the courtroom of heaven. As a consequence of the debate between God and satan, calamity hit Job and swept away everything that he had including his family, health and wealth. Job was not battered, plundered and pelted because he was wicked but because he was honest, truthful and loyal. The catastrophe was only a temporary storm. Job’s integrity was rewarded with double of all that he lost.

Our honesty will not remain a secret. Our sincerity is the hot topic of discussion in the courtroom. King Jesus is proudly bragging about the times we chose to remain silent when slandered. He is flaunting our honesty in our money dealings, tithing and generosity. Our uprightness will not remain a secret, it will be rewarded. Hence, we don’t have to justify ourselves to the malicious mockers. We don’t have to go out of our way to prove our innocence on Facebook or social media. For there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.” Honesty will be rewarded.

Honesty will not remain a secret:

1.     Truth: Truthfulness on earth is the treasure stored up in the secret locker in heaven. It will come handy when we are in trouble or under a trial. ‘No legacy is so rich as honesty’ – William Shakespeare. God stood as an advocate for Job against the demeanor, the devil and testified the integrity of Job. The Lord God will do the same for you and for me. And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded” (Matthew 10:42). People might forget your kindness but God will honour you for your honesty and faithfulness.

2.     Test: In the middle of a test or trial never succumb to the lie of the devil that God hates you. Job went through the fiercest testing not because he was licentious but loyal.

3.     Testimony: People who celebrate you today will slander you tomorrow. So don’t be demoralized by those who turn their back on you. Your honesty is broadcasted and discussed in heaven. Jesus is standing as our advocate to vindicate and testify for us.

Honesty will not remain secret.

Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to rest in the truth that my small deeds of honesty are seeds of blessings that I sow into my future. Amen.
