Isaiah 6:4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
Our voice box (larynx) has tiny bands of muscles and tissues called vocal chords. The air from the lungs makes the edges of these small muscles and tissues vibrate which is what makes the sounds. Animals are not able to form words and speak like humans as humans have flexibility in the mouth, tongue and lips that give us the ability to make a wide range of precise sounds that animals can’t make. Lions communicate with loud, low-pitched vocal signals. Elephants use their heads, eyes, mouth, ears, tusks, trunk, tail, feet and even their whole body to signal messages and communicate with one another. An angry elephant flaps its ears, kicks the dust, tosses its trucks or even charges. Dogs bark, lick or wag their tails to communicate. However, humans are the only mammals that are blessed with word formations to communicate clearly.
Our voices are powerful. “I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,” Says the LORD, “And I will heal him.” (Isaiah 57:19). Our words change history and release healing. Our voices shatter through from the natural realm into the supernatural realm and communicate to heaven or to hell. The voices of the seraphim (the mighty angels who guard the throne of God), physically shook the doorposts and the threshold of heaven. How much more will the faithful voices of God’s children? Angels are only our ministering spirits or servants of God’s children, and their praises cause quakes in heaven. So, when we raise our sincere voices in praise or prayer they become the force that shatters through the dark realm and unites with the supernatural power of God to smash the diabolical holds, demonic intrusion or bondages. Praying in silence is refreshing but praising out loud is empowering.
The benefits of raising our voices to pray, praise and petition:
1. Shatter: Speaking God’s word boldly and raising our voices to sing and worship releases the power of God and shatters bondages and breaks yokes.
2. Signal: Our voices turn into signals or frequencies in the spiritual realm. Praise or words of affirmation will attract angelic hosts but fear, complaints or anxiety will invite the demonic ghetto. Angry words turn the home into hell! A soft answer drives disunity, rage, and violence out of our homes.
3. Synchronize: Use your voices to sync with the angels not with demons. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thy hands? (Ecclesiastes 5:6).Heaven will invade our home when our voices are continually synchronized with the angelic praises.
Our voices are a powerful tool and a gift from God to release the authority of God on earth. Our voices will invite heaven to invade into our lives and the misuse of our voices will allow hell to intrude into our lives.
Psalm 145:21 My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, let the words of my mouth bring heaven to earth. Amen.
