21 February 2024 – Angelic Alliance – Part 3

Acts 12:7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

Angels are our divine escorts and rescue crew who accompany God’s children. We are accompanied and surrounded by powerful angelic forces 24/7 wherever we go and whatever we do. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths smooth (Proverbs 3:6). The meaning of “acknowledge” in Hebrew is ‘yada’ which denotes “to know/recognize”. As we yada (revere, remember and recognize) His Holy name we attract the traction of the heavenly escorts. When the Lord is revered, remembered and recognized His angels automatically join the journey. They direct, protect and pave the way for us to keep moving in God’s plan. Knowing and understanding God’s will is not rocket science…just ‘yada’, acknowledge, adore and appreciate His Holy name and He will make your path smooth.

Peter was imprisoned for preaching the goodnews of the gospel powerfully and emphatically. There was a death sentence hanging over his head as Herod was planning to execute him the next day but Peter was fast asleep in the prison between four squads of four soldiers each! So there were sixteen soldiers to guard one fisherman Peter however, there was a seventieth shiny powerful divine soldier whom the guards could not see. The angel escorted Peter into the prison; he blinded the eyes of the guards, knocked them with drowsiness and hypersomnia, broke the chains on Peter’s hand and legs and escorted him unharmed and unseen out of the high security prison doors.

‘Yada’/acknowledge the Lord and the divine escorts will make your path smooth.

Angels, our divine escorts:

1.     Escort: Angels automatically escort those who yada, praise and adore the name of Jesus. They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone (Psalm 91:12). Adulation is the vocabulary that the angels speak and they will automatically accompany when we praise Him.

2.     Escape: Angels are sent with the key to set us free from anything or anyone who imprison us. They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. But that night an angel of the Lord opened the prison gates, led the apostles out, and said to them, “Go and stand in the Temple, and tell the people all about this new life” (Acts 5:18). Angels are our rescue crew.

3.     Encourage: Angels are heaven’s heralds. Last night an angel came to me from the God I belong to and worship. The angel said, ‘Paul, do not be afraid (Acts 27:23). Angels are divine messengers and encouragers.

Angels are our divine escorts.

Acts 12:11 “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

Prayer: Father Divine, thank you for the escorting angels who protect us in our journey of life. Help me to attract the divine escorts by yada/acknowledging your name. Amen.
