23 May 2024 – The Believer and the Beast – Part 4

Ephesians 6:12 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Once we put on the armour of God, a believer is ‘armed and dangerous’. The ravaging demonic beasts flee into hiding once we are armed. Hell is petrified when we learn to access our resources of armaments and ammunition against the demonic forces. The helmet of salvation protects us from toxic thoughts. The breastplate of righteousness guards our heart from hoarding bitterness. The belt of truth saves us from deceitfulness. The shoes of peace stop our feet from reacting in anger. The shield of faith quenches the fiery darts of envy and animosity. And the sword is the weapon to slay the head of the garrulous giants.

There are several layers of protection for a believer. The coat of righteousness protects us from falling into the guilt and shame of the past. The accusations of the demons are silenced by the blood that is slathered over the doorpost of our dwellings. There are also armed angelic defence forces surrounding us day and night. We have messenger angels waiting to carry our prayers to the throne of God and combat angels fighting against the evil forces in the dark places to hinder our answers and blessings. There are also two personal bodyguards ‘goodness’ and ‘mercy’ on our right and left walking with us 24/7. Partaking in communion protects our physical health, emotional vigor and spiritual growth.

A believer has layers of protection. Personal protective gear, arms, arsenal and aerosol are at our disposal. A praying child of God is a bitter enemy of the beast. Bloodthirsty beasts quiver the moment a praying believer starts to praise in the morning.

An armed Believer is the Beast’s adversary:

1.         Protective Gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is our protection against emotional, mental and spiritual attacks. Terrifying or toxic thought-arrows cannot penetrate us when we are fully armed. Insults, sarcasm, cynical comments or fearful thoughts cannot poison us if we are covered by our PPE. Don’t leave your prayer closet without your PPE.

2.            Personal Guardians: The personal guardians are our personal attendants who watch over us and walk with us wherever we go and whatever we do. We are never alone. Hold onto God’s right hand of grace and His left hand of mercy and march boldly.

3.         Personal Combatants: There are combat angels assigned to fight for us in the heavenlies. As we fast and pray the angelic force in the heaven overpowers and overthrows the beast and his vicious demonic horde.

The beast can never overpower a believer with PPE, divine personal guardians and combatants.

Psalm 144:1 Blessed be the LORD, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to use divine weaponry and train my hands to war against the demonic. Help me to fight the good fight of faith. Amen
