24 May 2024 – The Believer and the Beast – Part 5

Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

The beast will surrender to a believer who knows his position. We are anointed to be the head and not the tail. We are empowered to lead and not to be dragged like a tail. You don’t have to be the CEO of a corporation to be a leader. “Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.” – John C Maxwell. Our place in the hierarchy does not determine our power and influence. The influence and impact that we leave in the lives of those who are around us qualify us to be a leader. The enemy will curl up his tail and flee from a believer who knows his stand, authority and position in Christ. For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). Our spiritual position is above all thrones, authority and powers of darkness. The devil and his demonic thug are below our feet.

A Bible believing believer is above the circumstance and not below. We are above the prognosis of the doctors; we are above the financial projections and the predictions of the future. Hence the forecast on finance, famine or food crisis should not intimidate us. We are above it. God who fed His children with the food of the angels in the desert, is our provider.

A Beast is under the feet of the Believer:

1.         Talk: The way we address an issue will be very different if we know our position as a disciple of Christ Jesus. We are not under the weather, recession or depression. Our vocabulary and voice must reverberate victory, not defeat. We should talk authoritatively to the problem and not succumb to the peril.

2.            Temperament: Our temperament will be calm and composed at all times. We will not stress about the storm but prepare to dive into the eye of the storm like an eagle. The eagle gets excited about the black storm cloud and plunges into the storm to give it a lift to soar higher. Likewise, the tranquility of the believer baffles the beast.

3.         Top: The surging flood will make us float and take us to the top. Hell or high water we are the head and we will be on top of the problem. We will not be dragged by the circumstances but we will direct, instruct and lead.

The beast will never wag his tail at a believer who knows his position in Christ Jesus.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Prayer: King Jesus, you are king over the universe. Thank you for the privilege to sit with you in the heavenly realms with the devil and his demons under my feet. Amen
