Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
In the vision that John had at the Island of Patmos, he saw Jesus on a white horse as God Almighty with the government and all authority and power on His shoulders. On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:16). It symbolizes and affirms the Lordship of Jesus and His dominion over the geopolitical kingdoms. The name Jesus encompasses All Power, All Dominion and All Authority resting on His shoulders. The name of Jesus is the most powerful name on the earth, above the earth and below the earth. It is the name that the heavens bow down and worship and it is the name that hell trembles and cowers to.
“Jesus” is the most powerful prayer that we can pray on all occasions at all times. We don’t have to use Shakespearean superfluous vocabulary to pray. Just the name of Jesus is an all sufficient prayer to tap into divine help. The authority of Jesus is woven on His robe and inscribed on His thigh. The thigh symbolizes power as it was considered as the strongest part of the human body. Eliezer, Abraham’s servant, took an oath by placing his hands under Abraham’s thigh (Genesis 24:2). Ehud, the judge, had his sword strapped to his thigh (Judges 3:16). So, the inscription on the thigh signifies ultimate authority.
The name of Jesus:
1. Frequent-Dial: “Jesus” is the most frequent prayer that we should pray throughout the day. The most uttered word in our mind and mouth should be Jesus.
2. Fast-Dial: The one-press-dial to reach heaven is “Jesus”. The name Jesus should be on fast-dial to get the attention of heaven swiftly.
3. Default-Dial: “Jesus” should be on default-dial at all times. He should be our first go-to dial because His name drives out fear and demolishes dread. Repeat the name of Jesus when you are afraid and defeat the formidable enemy.
The name of Jesus is the shortest, quickest and most powerful prayer to get divine help.
Prayer: JESUS, THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS, You are my King and my Lord. Amen.
