Isaiah 55:12 “For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands”
The above verse is a beautiful description of a sinner returning to Christ. Joy is the evidence of repentance and peace is the inheritance of the Lord’s redeemed. The source of Joy and Peace is our Trust in Jesus Christ. We do not know what 2025 holds but our trust in the One who holds our future will keep us in perfect peace and inexplicable joy.
This is a key verse that deciphers the difference between God’s children leaving Egypt and Babylon. When Israel left Egypt, they left in haste (Exodus 12:33) however, when they left Babylon they left with peace and joy. The metaphor of the mountains and hills breaking into joyful songs and trees and fields clapping their hands is a beautiful portrait of nature rejoicing the marvelous deliverance of His people from sin, sickness and slavery.
Step into 2025 trusting that the prodigals will return back to Christ. This is the year of deliverance that we have been waiting for. Be resolute in your trust and there will be joyful singing and rejoicing in your tent.
Get-set-Go:
1. Word: Stand on God’s Word and declare God’s promise over 2025. So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall do what I please and it shall accomplish that for which I sent (Vs 11).
2. Way: Trust that His ways are better than ours. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways” (vs 9b). Trust will keep our hearts joyful and our minds peaceful.
3. Worship: Worship is the key to victory. We are not alone, the mountain, the hills and the trees of the field will clap their hands and worship with us. Worship will break bondages, bloodline curses and bring back the captives.
2025 is the year of joy and peace that only comes from our unshakable trust in the Saviour of the World.
Prayer: Wonderful Saviour, I trust that you will certainly answer my prayers for the prodigals, the bound, the lost and the broken family and friends to return to you. Amen.
