Luke 8:48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
Those who come to Jesus in pieces will go back with peace. The broken and the bound were healed when they ran to Jesus. Jesus sent them back with joy, hope and peace. The woman who was suffering with the issue of blood for 12 long years went to Jesus bleeding and left rejoicing and healed. A woman caught in adultery was thrown at the feet of Jesus to be shamed and stoned but Jesus forgave her, counseled her and sent her back cleansed, guilt free and confident. “No one, sir,” she replied. Then Jesus said, “I don’t condemn you, either. Go home, and from now on don’t sin anymore” (John 8:11). The man Bartimaeus was blind when he ran to Jesus but left with sight celebrating his healing. “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road (Mark 10:52).
Go to Jesus with problems and issues that have been following you for generations; with secret sins and shame; with genetic disease, abnormalities and addictions. Those who went to Jesus with their burdens left blessed. Jesus healed, restored and delivered and sent them back with peace, joy and hope.
Get-set-Go:
1. Problems: Go to Jesus with the problem or the physical ailment and He will turn the trouble into a trophy. Jesus is the source of all peace.
2. Persecutions: Go to Jesus with your shame, guilt and persecution. Jesus is a specialist in putting broken pieces into a masterpiece. Jesus is the Peacemaker.
3. Pain: Go to Jesus with your self-pity, sorrow and sickness. He will not only heal the brokenness of our heart but will send us back with His power to perform miracles in His name. Jesus is the source of all power in heaven and on earth. He will exchange the pain with power and disgrace with honour.
All those who went to Jesus with their problems and brokenness were restored and sent back with peace and power.
Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, I will run to you when I am perplexed, for you are my peace. You graciously turn my persecution into a crown of beauty, my unspeakable and unbearable pain into power. Those who come to you in pain leave with power and peace. Amen.
