Matthew 6:9-11 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven Hallowed be Your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Part-3 of the template of prayer is attributing all the dominion, authority and power to the God whose throne is established forever and ever. Part-1 of the template established that we are created in the image and the DNA of our Father in Heaven. Understanding the mystery of our redemption will make us hallow His holy name and surrender to His rulership, kingdom and Lordship. Part-2 addresses our personal, emotional and spiritual needs and also confesses our weakness and struggles seeking His help and mercy. It must include a prayer of prudence to make us spiritually alert, agile and smart. Part-3 of our prayer seals our prayer by acknowledging His dominion over the universe, kingdoms, political or influential authorities and His supremacy over our life.
The last and the most important part of our prayer reiterates that God’s Word is the final verdict of our life and our situation. He is a specialist in overturning impossible situations around. The cosmos was created and is suspended by His spoken word. As we acknowledge Him as a supreme and ultimate authority our spiritual substratum is strengthened and fortified.
Template Part-3:
1. Allude: As we draw our attention to the ultimate power and authority of God, all our apprehensions and anxieties die down. Lifting Jesus make Him bigger and bigger in our heart until there is no more room for fear.
2. Alleviate: Worship will alleviate all burdens. We must not carry back the burden that we went into our prayer closet with and worship lightens the load as we acknowledge that God is in control.
3. Accentuate: Accentuating the Kingship, power and the glory or the nature of God’s goodness, kindness, mercy defeats the plots of hell. Demons are dislodged when we accentuate Jesus.
The Lord God who is on High is above all our circumstances and challenges.
Prayer: King of Kings, I lift you up as the ultimate authority over my life. Amen.
