Exodus 32:26&29a Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered. Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the Lord today.
Passion for the Lord and fervor for the truth attracts divine attention and initiates divine activation. It is very difficult to go against the tide because we will be swimming in the opposite direction against the natural flow and the gravitational pull of the water current. Much exertion is required to swim against the tide. This is a beautiful metaphor that illustrates those who disagree with the vast majority of the people particularly to reiterate righteousness. There is only a small percentage that has the audacity to confess their faith and the truth from God’s Word. It is comfortable to conform to the ways of the world and remain silent on controversial issues such as gender confusion, inclusion and abortion. However, there will be ‘divine activation’ in the heavenlies when we stand out alone against the cultural tide to confess and profess the truth from the scriptures.
While Moses was on Mt. Sinai communing with the Lord and writing down the commandments, the people fashioned a golden calf and indulged in idolatry, harlotry and revelry. Moses came down from the mountain and announced “Who is on the LORD’s side?” and the Levites gathered in one accord to stand with Moses to purge sin out of the Israelite camp. The passion of the Levites ignited divine activation.
Our passionate response to the Lord activates divine appreciation, authentication and sets us apart as the Lord’s ambassadors.
Spiritual Activation:
1. Attraction: A simple “Yes” to God and ‘No’ to the corrupt cultural tide, stimulate divine attraction. Of the 8.025 billion people in the world, the Lord’s eyes will be pinned on us when we say “Yes” to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).
2. Appreciation: The Levites stood with Moses to be against the sinful generation and the Lord separated them for His noble priestly service. Piety will be rewarded.
3. Activation: Divine activation showers a special anointing on us to be God’s ambassadors on earth.
Passionately standing against the cultural tide activates favour and attracts divine appreciation and authentication.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, fill me with boldness to passionately stand against the soiled cultural tide. Amen.
