2 Chronicles 16:9a For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
There are 8.023 billion people in this world and the eyes of the Lord scans through the earth to find those who are loyal, faithful and integrous to Him. The eyes of the Lord are like a surveillance camera that runs to and fro throughout the earth. Loyalty is our commitment to choose to do what is right before the Lord and our dedication to walk in reverential fear. It is our devotion to be integrous in words and deeds. “Truthfulness” and “trustworthiness” will catch the attention of the Sovereign Lord.
Integrity will be captured as video clips and played over and over again in the mega screens of heaven. The Lord would boast about those who live blamelessly for Him. When satan stood before the Lord, the reels of Job were probably played over and over again in heaven, as the Lord was flaunting Job’s humility to the angels. Hence the Lord asked satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? (Job 1:8a). It was possibly early in the morning and according to Job’s regular custom he was sacrificing a burnt offering to the Lord. The sweet incense of Job’s worship caught the eyes of the Lord that were running to and fro on the earth, to spot His faithful ones.
Our loyalty, trust and integrity must be ‘authentic’ and ‘sincere’ to catch the surveillance camera of heaven.
Reels of Heaven:
1. Boast: The secret to get our reels to hit millions of views in heaven is loyalty, honesty and trust. The Lord God will boast about those whose heart is committed to Him.
2. Baffle: The Lord will baffle and buffet the enemies who come against us. They will come in one direction and flee in seven.
3. Battle: The surveillance camera of heaven will alert the angelic army when we are attacked. We are assured of divine defence and protection when we serve the Lord in truth and integrity.
The surveillance camera of heaven will capture our commitment, faithfulness and trustworthiness to the Lord, and telecast it in heaven.
Prayer: Lord of Might and Power, help me always to live a life that will make you proud and worthy to boast about me in heaven. Amen.
