Revelation 19:12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.
‘Eyes’ like blazing fire are the analogy for the power that emanates from God’s eyes. Nothing can miss the eyes of God. Everything that is done in the dark is captured by the surveillance camera of heaven. His eyes can penetrate into the deepest thoughts and desires of man. The eyes of Jesus caught the eyes of Peter after he had denied Him three times. Jesus did not speak a word but just one look pierced the heart of Peter with conviction. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly (Luke 22:61-62). The compassionate look from Jesus broke Peter into tears as it spoke volumes to his grief-stricken guilty heart.
No one can keep secrets from God. His eyes will capture and video-record even our ugly thoughts, negative reminiscing and envious deliberations. This is why David says, You have searched me, Lord, and you know me… you perceive my thoughts from afar (Psalm 139:1-2b). God consciousness will not only keep our thoughts but also our perceptive and actions clean and pure before Him. God consciousness will bring reverential fear on us to know and realize that we are under the surveillance camera and watchful eyes of heaven, 24/7.
Divine Vigilance:
1. Perspective: Our perspectives about people and problems will change and transform us into God’s perspective when we live under God consciousness.
2. Proposition: Our propositions will align with God’s plans if we understand that the Lord knows it all. He knows our intentions and sees through our judgemental thoughts and deliberations about our others; He knows the envious thoughts that flash on and off and He knows the bitterness that surges in our heart. Our responses to fiendish propositions will change when we are conscious of the divine camera that is capturing our thoughts.
3. Persistence: God’s eyes do not miss our persistence and perseverance in prayer. His eyes watch our prayers and tears in the secret place.
The surveillance camera of heaven captures our thoughts, desires and intentions.
Prayer: Mighty God, make me conscious that your eyes that shine like blazing fire are watching over me 24/7. Amen.
