Deuteronomy 11:11-12 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. “It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end”.
The eyes of the Lord are upon us, our health, our wealth, our children, our dwelling place and everything that He has blessed us with. The alarm monitoring systems are not our protection; the eyes of the Lord are our security and surveillance system. The Lord God watches over our going and our coming; He watches over our flock and fortune. The eyes of the Lord were watching us even before the scan report could get the first glimpse of our fetus in our mother’s womb. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16). He sees it all, He knows it all and He is in control of all. Nothing that is happening in our lives is out of His preview. What an awesome assurance that we have in Him that the God of Israel is watching over us continually from the beginning of the year to its end; minute by minute and hour by hour.
God saw the need in the house of the Shunammite woman and He sent Prophet Elisha to her house as a frequent visitor (2 Kings 4:11-17). She did not even ask for a child but God blessed her with a child as He was watching over the emptiness in the household of the generous woman.
Watchful Eyes:
1. Source: The eyes of the Lord watch over our needs and He is our only source. We drink rain from heaven and are provided by the divine treasury of heaven.
2. Security: The eyes of the Lord are the security camera over our health and our wealth. He watches over our going out and our coming in.
3. Surveillance: The eyes of the Lord are our surveillance camera of protection. As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem” (Isaiah 31:5).
The eyes of the Lord are our watchful surveillance camera of protection.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for your watchful eyes of protection over me. Amen.
