Daniel 3:25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”.
The hotness of the flame can be increased by increasing the oxygen available for combustion. Using pure oxygen instead of air can significantly increase the temperature of the flame.
King Nebuchadnezzar was infuriated by the reply he received from the Hebrew exiles. They retorted that even if their God does not save them, they will not bow down to the image that Nebuchadnezzar had erected. The king fumed with rage and ‘furious-fire’ and ordered the furnace to be heated seven times more than usual. However, the bold boys were filled with ‘faith-fire’. Faith-fire formed a shield of favour around them and the furnace that was blazing seven times hotter could not harm them. The ‘faith-fire’ in the Hebrew boys swallowed the ‘furious-fire’.
In the furnace of ‘furious-fire’, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were bouncing inside the bubble of ‘faith-fire’! The frenzy of the king turned into bewilderment as he could not believe his eyes. The ‘faith-fire’ bubble not only swallowed the ‘furious-fire’ but it had the 4th man who looked like God walking along with the men unbound and unharmed.
The favor of God is like a fiery shield of ‘faith fire’ surrounding the children of God who boldly stand for their faith. ‘Faith-fire’ devoured the ‘furious-fire’. Faith is our fireproof against the fury of the enemy. No witchcraft, omen, divination, sorcery or black magic can touch a child of God who is ‘faith-fireproofed’.
Faith-fireproof:
1. Furious-fire: When we are attacked by the furious reaction of the powers of hell, we are fireproofed under the ‘faith-fire’. The brimstone and fire that the demons spit on us will not touch us when we are under the bubble of ‘faith-fire’.
2. Faith-fire: ‘Faith-fire’, fueled by the oxygen of God’s Word, is hotter than the ‘furious-fire’ of the infuriated demons. When the attack of ruthless people and demonic forces get hot, we must increase our ‘faith-fire’ by standing on the Word of God. Oxidize your faith-fire with God’s Word.
3. Fireproof: If we are faith-proofed, we are fireproofed against the furious, fiery attack of the evil one.
Faith-fire will swallow the furious-fire. Are you faith-fireproofed?
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the fireproof shield of ‘faith-fire’ that consumes the ‘furious-fire’ and frenzies of the enemy. Amen.
