Psalm 103:20 Bless the LORD, all His angels mighty in strength who carry out His word, who hearken to the voice of His command.
Siri, our digital voice assistant, can make calls or send text just by following our instructions. However, those who have not voice activated Siri cannot use the Apple Assistant. They might have the latest iPhone or iPad which has the Apple Assistant built-in yet, they cannot use it. Allegorically, we have angels around us waiting to help and assist yet, if we have not voice activated their services they will not be able to assist us. ‘Prayer’ voice activates angelic assistance. Many angels on earth are bored as they are not deployed.
The messenger angels are waiting with golden bowls to collect our prayers every day. The Bible does not explicitly mention the size of the bowls but the golden bowl will probably be the size of our prayer life. For those who are super busy and pray on-the-go, quick prayers, the angel will have a mini bowl in the size of a dipping bowl to collect the few words they say. Those who spend a bit more time would get a medium size soup bowl, yet others who have more to talk to the Lord will probably get a serving bowl. For a person who has a dedicated prayer routine, their golden bowl would be humongous. Mighty angels will carry those bowls filled with prayers and intercessions! The golden bowl that is presented to the Lord will be the size and the sincerity of our prayer life.
Let us use the Angelic Assistants to carry a truck load of large bowls full of prayers, praises and petitions to the throne of God several times a day.
Angelic Assistants:
1. Bowl: How big is your golden prayer bowl? If we assess the size of our prayer bowl, our prayer time will automatically become bigger. Praying without ceasing will have a continuous flow of prayers into our golden bowl.
2. Basket: “I relieved your shoulder of the burden; your hands were freed from the basket” (Psalm 81:6). Carry your bowl, not baskets of burdens.
3. Blessings: The same angels who carry our bowls of prayers bring back loads of blessings.
How big is your golden bowl?
Prayer: Father God, I will pray without ceasing and fill my golden prayer bowl with praise, petitions and proclamations. Amen.
