Matthew 4:11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Siri is used for controlling various settings on Apple devices such as volume, brightness, and accessibility features, Homekit devices etc. Siri can execute commands such as “Hey Siri set volume to 70”, “Hey Siri, brighten the screen”, “Hey Siri, turn on the living room lights or turn off the kitchen lights”. Siri is like an invisible robot helper who is available 24/7.
Angelic Assistants are ministering spirits who are with us 24/7. They ministered to Jesus in the desert after his 40 days of fasting. They probably put up a pop up tent and brought some refreshments for Jesus. They brought the heat of the day down by blowing cold breeze on Jesus. They found a cozy corner for Jesus to put his legs up after 40 days of intense spiritual battle with the devil, Lucifer. Angels were actively involved throughout the lifetime of Jesus on earth.
We have the same helpers at our reach. They will minister and serve us when we are fatigued by the storms and wars of life. They are a hedge of protection and a fire wall around us. They are our go-to-divine helpers at all times.
Angelic Assistants:
1. Serve: Jesus said that He could call up on twelve legions of angels to surround and serve Him (Matthew 26:53). He gave us the same authority to command angels to serve us.
2. Surround: One of the assigned duties of angels is to surround our dwelling places and be our security guards. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him (Psalm 34:7).
3. Strengthen: We also see an angel coming down from heaven at the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus shed sweat drops of blood in his travailing prayer. Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him (Luke 22:43). The angel would have gently patted the blood droplets from the face of Jesus. He would have bought a word of assurance and braced the heart of the Servant King, Jesus. The visitation of the angel strengthened Jesus for His journey to the cross.
The Angelic Assistants are our personal security guards.
Prayer: Abba Father, teach me to realize the rich inheritance and angelic help that I have in you. Thank you for the ministering angels. Amen.
