Psalm 34:10 “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”
Biblical Buzzwords during famine, scarcity and recession for a child of God is “Adversity breeds prosperity”. Lions are on top of the food chain of the ecosystem yet, when there is drought, the lions would abandon the weakest cub in order to save the healthier ones! The cubs of the King of the jungle can suffer hunger, lack, and abandonment but the cubs of the Kings of Judah, Jesus, never lack any good thing!
In fact, when we live under the shadow of the Almighty God, a time of financial depression is the perfect ground for prosperity. God led Isaac to a good soil to sow golden seeds that yielded a hundredfold harvest during famine. The ground around him was scorched and parched but his land was watered by heaven. It was in severe famine that God used Joseph’s financial intelligence to make the Pharaoh extremely prosperous, popular and opulent (Genesis 47:20). Again in the famine where families were starving to death, God opened the door for Jacob and his children to settle in the fertile delta Goshen (Genesis 47:27). While even the King of the Jungle, the lions, abandon their weak cubs during scarcity the King of Kings and the Lion of Judah saves, delivers and promotes those who are weak and lowly. The King’s cubs prosper in adversity.
The economy of heaven is opposite to the economy of the world. The King’s kids flourish in famine.
