1 Corinthians 4:20 “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”
“The ‘Kingdom of God’ is not a Christian cliché; it is the lifestyle of a child of God.”
Kingdom Lifestyle is empowered and energized by “Kingdom Power”. Kingdom Power is the power of the Almighty God, exercised through His children on earth. Kingdom Power establishes God’s authority or His rulership on earth. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons (Matthew 10:8). Kingdom Power heals chronic disorders, wasting disease and terminal illness. Raising the dead and healing the leper or irreversible conditions is our way of life.
Peter and John were on their way to a worship service and they saw a lame beggar at the temple gate. Peter took the man by the right hand and helped him up. “Instantly” the man stood up, walked, leaped, jumped and went into the temple praising God. The people were filled with wonder and amazement and Peter made a profound statement, “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? (Acts 3:12). He simply said, “This is our way of life”. The Kingdom Power empowers the supernatural to become natural. The power of God will freely flow in and through us to heal, help and deliver those who are in darkness and bondage.
Kingdom Power:
1. Heal: Healing is not an out of the ordinary event to those who live in the Kingdom of God. We must experience this everyday in our lives.
2. Help: The beggar was only looking for a penny but the power of God hit him and healed him.
3. Hammer: Driving out demons must be like “pest control” in our domain. When the disciples were excited that demons fled at their command, Jesus said, “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20). He said, “Kingdom Power” will hammer the gates of hell. When we experience Kingdom Power we know that we are living in the Kingdom of God.
Kingdom of God is not just preaching but power; Exercise ‘Kingdom Power’.
Prayer: King Jesus, change my lifestyle to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers and drive out demons. Amen.
