Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
“Spiritual warfare is an attack from the demonic realm to stop, stagger and sabotage our spiritual progress.”
Spiritual attacks generally fall into two main categories: (1) when we leave doors open through negligence or spiritual indiscipline, and (2) when we are on the verge of a breakthrough.
The Bible does not say “if” it says “when” the day of evil comes. We are always on the battle ground and can expect an attack from any side. There is no time to slack, spiritually. The devil is prowling like a roaring lion and stalking and watching when we let our guards down. The day we don’t feel like praying, the day we feel like missing reading the scriptures, the day we are tempted to laze around and allow our thoughts to run wild, we can be rest assured that there is a diabolical gang waiting to pounce on us.
Also, when we are at the threshold of a spiritual, financial or emotional growth, there is always a giant blocking the way to the door of our advancement. The devil does not know our future but he can hear and see in the spiritual realm. He witnesses the promises and prophecies that the Lord gives us about our future and attacks to stop the progress.
Spiritual Warfare – Be on Red-Alert:
1. Red-Alert: The blood of Jesus is our protection over our health, hereditary and happiness but we must be on “red-alert” meaning, meditating and declaring the power of the blood of Jesus when we are under a spiritual attack.
2. Rampart: God’s faithfulness to His promises is our ‘rampart’ to scatter the enemy. His faithfulness is a shield and rampart (Psalm 91:4b). When you are discouraged, proclaim the promises over and over until the discouraging demons flee.
3. Refuge: The name of the Lord builds a strong tower of refuge against any demonic attack. As we proclaim the name, the fire wall of protection around becomes higher and higher.
The blood, the word and the name of Jesus gives us authority and victory to overthrow the hellish attack.
Prayer: King Jesus, Your blood, your Word and your name are my retreat, rampart and refuge. Amen.
