Every country will have roadside assistance for emergency breakdowns, flat tires, flat batteries or accidents. Experiencing a breakdown in a remote area can be stressful, overwhelming, and even hazardous, but the roadside emergency helpline offers invaluable support and relief.
Our soul has breakdowns, flat tires and accidents as well. The body will refuse to move forward when the battery of the soul is flat. Emotions can take us on a rollercoaster into the rut of regret, rejection and rage. When the soul has a breakdown or a flat battery/(hopelessness), call heaven for help. ‘Jesus Help me’ is the powerful prayer that will pull us out of the pit of depression.
The most common feeling that erupts when we have a spiritual breakdown is to “quit”. We feel we have no more strength to live a purposeful life. Couples quit too soon as they fail to call for divine assistance to resolve their breakdown. We don’t write-off a car as soon as it has a flat battery but many people are too quick to quit marriages, relationships or jobs when they lose their motivation to persevere. Sometimes there might be long waiting times to receive roadside assistance and to get back on the road but we don’t abandon our vehicle and walk away. Similarly, emotional and mental breakdowns are inevitable in life. Call for help and divine intervention to get back on the road.
Help:
1. Breakdown: Emotional breakdown is not the end of the road. Servicing the vehicle avoids breakdowns; similarly, daily prayer routine refreshes the soul and eliminates emotional breakdowns.
2. Battery Issues: Lack of motivation, despondency or emotional fatigue is like a flat battery. All we need is a renewed mindset; a new battery.
3. Breakthrough: We will experience a breakthrough only when we follow the advice of the Holy Spirit. Take off the coat of complaints and put on the garment of praise. “Praise” is the jumpstart that heals the soul from dejection.
The divine helper will heal the emotional turmoil.
Prayer: Dearest Holy Spirit, remind me to praise you and break free from the quitting, regretting and complaining mentality. Amen.
