Deuteronomy 28:5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
In God’s economy “clocks, calendar and calculators” start and stop at God’s command.
The keys in God’s calculator are very different from the Japanese calculator that we use. It has keys such as “bless”, “bounty” and “bubble” that the human calculator does not have. Hence, if we try to calculate God’s provision with the Japanese calculator we will live in anxiety and fear about our finances. While it is important to be thrifty with our finances, it is also important to trust Him for supernatural provision according to His promises. If God gives us a job, He would also impart the skills to perform and excel. If God gives us a house, He will give us the ability to pay for it. He provides for the means for the ministry and mission that He has appointed us in.
“God’s Will, God’s Bill”.
Jesus pronounced a feast with only five loaves and two fishes. The disciples were perplexed and perturbed when Jesus told them to feed the five thousand men and their families! The keys on Philip’s calculator and Jesus’ calculator were very different. Hence Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” (John 6:7). Philip’s Japanese calculator gave the human result of the money that they would need to provide them with a morsel but Jesus used the divine calculator and spread a feast before the hungry crowd!
We who stand on God’s promises must replace our Japanese calculator with Jesus’ calculator. While the Japanese calculator advises downsizing as the best option, Jesus’ calculator produces results of blessing and bounty even in times of recession and famine.
Clocks, Calendar & Calculators:
1. Break: The poverty and frugal thinking mentality must break for the divine calculator to proliferate. Break small mindedness. In Jesus’ calculator the more we give the more it multiplies.
2. Bless: The “bless” button on the divine calculator breaks all human limitations. Trust is the key that will turn the burden into blessings.
3. Bubble: God sets a feasting table before our enemies and presses the “bubble over” button to make our cup overflow.

Prayer: My Divine Provider, help me not to rely on my intelligence but to trust in your divine calculator to meet my needs. Amen.
