In God’s economy “clocks, calendar and calculators” start and stop at God’s command.
The Lord has finished the autobiography of our life even before we were born. In God’s calendar the disappointments, delays and derailments are designed to accomplish His design and His dream for us. No experience is wasted for a child of God. The detentions we face are God’s boot camp for promotions.
The Lord did not forget about Moses for 40 years when he was demoted from a prince to a peasant. God was preparing him. The wilderness was the Bible school where Moses was trained to be patient and purposeful. Moses lost the prestigious position in the palace but he found his calling in the backside of the wilderness. And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world (Hebrews 4:3b). The Lord has finished our end even before we started.
Before God led His people to the Red Sea, He had walked through the mighty waters and had laid the concrete bridge under the sea. “Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen” (Psalm 77:19). God has already prepared a way out of the problem that we are facing today. The life-partner, the career and the house that we are stressing about has been ordained for us even before we were born. So, why worry about the finished work of God?
Clocks, Calendar & Calculators:
- Wait: Nothing can be more challenging that waiting for God to move and deliver us. But it is in the waiting that our character is forged and the fruit of the spirit, ripened.
- Weary: Waiting impatiently for a miracle will make us weary. But waiting with expectancy for the Lord to reveal the treasures that He has stored for us will empower us to mature into warriors. Growth happens in the gap.
- Worship: Worship while you’re waiting and a day will pass by like a minute. Warriors worship in the waiting.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to be confident that you have my future perfectly designed and secured. Amen.
