14 February 2026 – Words – Part 3

Mark 13:31 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away”.

“Our mouth must be hooked to our heart and not our head.”

The famous proverb says that the only thing that is constant in this world is change but in this ever changing world the only thing that is constant is The Word of God. Everything around us can change but God’s promise to us remains steadfast and unshakable. Even if it tarries it will come to pass. Meditating, believing and confessing God’s Word will bring it to pass.

Faith is not “name it, claim it”. Faith is hearing the voice of God in our heart and confessing it with our mouth. Faith is hearing God’s Word and echoing God’s voice. God’s voice will not contradict God’s Word. When His word is on our mouth, our words become His words and our declarations of faith will never fail.

Abraham did not wake up one morning and started declaring that he will have a son in his old age and his generation will become countless like the stars in the sky and the sand in the seashore. Abraham heard from God and made God’s vocabulary his dialect.  The Lord God changed his name from Abram to Abraham. Abram means “exalted father,” while Abraham means “father of a multitude” or “father of many nations”. Abram readily accepted the change of name without any questions. He probably changed his name with a gazette notification and corrected all his legal documents. The Bible records his name change as Abraham a year before his son Isaac was born. Abram was 99 years old and for one full year he declared to the world that he is the father of many nations.

Faith declaration is hearing God’s voice in your heart and repeating it.

Faith Confessions:

  1. Hear: Make it a habit to hear from God. Never finish your time of prayer without hearing God’s voice. His opinion and His Word on any issue is the final verdict.
  2. Hold: Hold on to the promise that the Lord impressed on your heart. The Holy Spirit speaks through gentle impressions in your heart.
  3. Herald: Herald God’s voice and God’s word. Hear, believe and speak it out boldly.

Faith is hearing from God and repeating His Word.

Prayer: Dearest Holy Spirit, fine tune my ears to hear you clearly. Amen.
