Daniel 6:28 “So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian”.
Breakthrough is not an ordinary advancement or a step forward. It is a dramatic advancement and a dynamic progression breaking demonic barriers and demolishing the diabolical strongholds.
Daniel was put through severe persecution for his faith and a death sentence was pronounced on him. He was thrown into the lion’s den for refusing to give up his prayer routine. However, the death penalty of Daniel turned into promotion. The Lord shut the mouth of the hungry lions and they did not harm him. The divine protection became Daniel’s breakthrough progression. At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones (vs 24). The envious enemies who thought they had trapped Daniel in the den became the lunch of the hungry lions.
Daniel was not perturbed when he heard the devious decree that the envious enemies connived against him. He did not alter his prayer routine. He did not petition the king regarding the fiendish ploy. Even the threat of death or the ferocious fangs of the lions did not stop him from his praying discipline. He was bold, tenacious and strong. His calm and consistent perseverance was the catalyst to his breakthrough promotion and prosperity.
Breakthrough prosperity is a lifestyle of the successful.
Breakthrough Prosperity:
- Consistent: In a tumultuous situation, our consistency and faithfulness is the catalyst to our promotion, elevation and prosperity. God cannot trust a yoyo Christian with power and promotion. God is above all the world system, political influences and policies. He is the ruler of all.
- Compromise: Compromise to conform to the world destroys breakthrough prosperity. There might be short term gains if we go along with the worldly views but our long term prosperity will be certainly destroyed.
- Courageous: Our courage in a challenge is the marker for increase. Our boldness over the boisterous blows and confidence and courage to stand tall and strong in crisis is the catalyst for promotion.
Don’t compromise; be consistent and courageous for a Baal-Perazim breakthrough.
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, fill me with boldness to stand firm in faith. Amen.
