Job 28:7 No bird of prey knows that hidden path, no falcon’s eye has seen it.
“Being overshadowed by God’s presence is to be enveloped in His presence, protection and power.”
The dwelling place of the Lord God is far beyond the imagination and comprehension of our human mind. Even the highest heavens, cannot contain Him? (2 Chronicles 2:6). We who are overshadowed by Him are completely covered, sheathed and shielded under His protection. The falcon’s eye refers to the demonic envious eye that stalks our going out and our coming in. It is the evil eye that prowls to pounce on our movements, plans and endeavours. This eye is the secret information center of hell. Hell hates our peace and progress and assigns demons to lurk around our domain to attack us. However, the enemy loses sight of us when we are overshadowed by the Almighty God. When we are overshadowed by the Most-High God — our shadow disappears.
The demonic fowler’s eye that traces our trajectory is blinded when we dwell under His shadow. The enemy’s army that came to attack Elisha was struck with blindness. Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked (2 Kings 6:18). The irony was striking: the servant of Elisha, who had trembled at the sight of the advancing army, had his eyes opened, to behold the fiery host of angels and chariots surrounding them in protection; however the invading enemy was struck with blindness.
Seek righteousness, nurture faith, pursue peace and joy, to blind the falcon’s eye. Don’t be afraid of the demonic, evil and envious falcon’s eye. You are overshadowed.
Overshadowed:
- Fowler: Under the shadow of the Almighty God, we are safe from the fowler’s snare and the deadly pestilence.
- Foe: Under His shadow, the eyes of the intruding foe are blinded as the light of God’s presence in His dwelling place is too bright for the fiendish foe.
- Fiend: Under His wings there is no terror of demonic darkness or the poisonous arrow of the fiend. The plots connived against us will be foiled and the wicked trap to ensnare us will be exposed.
The fowler, fierce foe and fiendish demonic spirits cannot find us when we are overshadowed by the Almighty God.
Prayer: Awesome Father, I will remain under Your safe net to be overshadowed by you. Amen.
