11 April 2026 – Overshadowed – Part 3

1 Kings 18:12  I don’t know where the Spirit of the Lord may carry you when I leave you. If I go and tell Ahab and he doesn’t find you, he will kill me.

“Being overshadowed by God’s presence is to be enveloped in His presence, protection and power.”

Being overshadowed under the wings of the Almighty moves us supernaturally. This does not mean astral projection where the spirit visits different places while the body remains in one place. Under the shadow of His protection, we will see supernatural elevation, supernatural exaltation and supernatural empowerment to overpower the enemy.

As for Prophet Elijah, He travelled in an invisible fire chariot. Elijah lived in a land that was polluted by perversion, adultery and idolatry. King Ahab, the rebel, had married the daughter of a Syrophoenician king and priest – Jezebel, who was an occultist. She corrupted Israel with her whoredoms and sorceries (2 Kings 9:22). The Lord protected Prophet Elijah from the hands of the wicked rulers as he dwelt under the shadow of the Almighty God. No one could lay hands on Elijah as he was overshadowed and protected under the wings of the Lord God.

We who are overshadowed by the Lord live free from envious demonic eyes and the hands of the evil doers. We fear no bad news. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord (Psalm 112:7). Evil doers cannot lay their hands on us.

Overshadowed and Empowered:

  1. Embattled: Do not fret when you are embattled by haters who plot to harm you. They cannot come near us, as we are encircled and overshadowed by supernatural protection. So, fear no man nor demon.
  2. Encased: We will be in the vicinity of the opposing forces and envious men but we will be out of their reach, encased under His shield.
  3. Empowered: No matter how influential or powerful the opposition is, they can do us no harm. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked (Psalm 91:8). So don’t fret, we are empowered to overpower the haters, scoffers and disdainers.

We are encased and empowered under the shadow of the Almighty.

Sit back and watch God annihilating the callous and the condescending enemy.

Prayer: Mighty Warrior Jesus, I will rest within your arm and will not be afraid.  Amen.
