11 March 2021 – Details – Part 7

1 Samuel 18:14 In everything he (David) did he had great success, because the LORD was with him.

In the above verse, the word “everything”  means everything. God blessed David’s tuning, training and taming. It simply means that David was the best in everything he did. In the music contest or the battle field, no musician who could compete with him, no soldier could surpass or defeat him. He became the talk of the town and the hero of the crown. God blessed everything that David did because he involved the Lord in the nitty-gritty of his life. God was in his laying down and waking up; in his going out and coming in. God was in his relationships, championship and leadership.

David was not trained in the palace etiquette or leadership skills yet, all Israel and Judah loved David, because he led them in their campaigns (1 Samuel 18:16). The partnership with the Lord progressed David from a shepherd to a singer to a soldier and eventually the Sovereign ruler of Israel. It is the will of God for us to increase, enlarge and prosper. Progress will become the way of life when Christ becomes the substance and core of everything that we do.

Involve the Lord in the details of your life:

1.     Potent: We will become mentally, physically and financially strong when we involve the Lord in the details of our life. Our partnership with the Almighty makes us mighty and strong against the opponent. Psalms 91:13 The lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. We need supernatural strength to stamp over and squash the head of the lion and cobra. When God is in every conversation, thought, plan, proposal and every move, then we will receive supernatural potent in everything that we do. Our wisdom will be impeccable; we will be emotionally and spiritually stable and sturdy. God will become our strength in our weakness.

2.     Progress: When the Holy Spirit is on the driver’s seat, there will be progression. Many times we slow down only because we make Him the passenger. One of the signs of the presence of the Lord in our life is growth. Exodus 1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. The early churches grew exponentially and multiplied even under severe persecution. When God is in every detail of our pain, persecution and problems, the pain will make us powerful and propel us into progression. God will use the very thing that came to destroy us to press us forward into progress.

3.     Prosperity: If our Father owns the cattle in the meadows, then there must be stake on our plate. Poverty, paucity and scarcity is not God’s plan for His children. The man (Isaac) began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous (Genesis 26:13)God blessed Isaac’s investment and multiplied it hundred fold. It is not wrong to have a fatty bank account, only banking our security in the wealth becomes snare to our spiritual growth. Maturity is treating money as a tangible, perishable commodity and handling it wisely without any emotional attachment. Spirit of excellence, increase and prosperity are God given gifts to build and advance His kingdom. God takes pleasure in blessing His children.

When we involve the Lord in every detail of our life, our ordinary lives will become extraordinary; shepherds will become soldiers and peasants will become princes. God takes pleasure in our potent, progress and prosperity.

1 Samuel 3:1a David grew stronger and stronger.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, let me be more aware of your presence than the pressures, people or the priorities of life. I welcome you to be the King of my heart and be enthroned in every detail of my life. Amen
