11 June 2021 – Peek into Heaven – Part 1

Romans 28:34 Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

If we only know what happens in Heaven when we pray, we will never stop praying.  God does nothing except in response to believing prayer” – John Wesley.  When we understand the philosophy of prayer and the shift in the demographics of the Heavenlies, the paradigm of prayer will drastically change.  We would have imagined Heaven with winged baby angels playing a harp, but the tenor, temperature and topography of Heaven changes when the righteous start praying. Heaven becomes a courtroom.

As soon as Job finished his prayer of purification and early morning burnt sacrifices for his family, satan stood before God, simmering and brewing mischief against Job.  Job 1:6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and satan also came with them. This “one day” was one of the mornings when Job had just finished his morning sacrifices. Job’s customary worship dragged satan to the courtroom of Heaven. There are civil courts, criminal courts, family courts, youth courts, small district courts and high courts and supreme court in Heaven where our litigations are severely opposed by our lethal enemies of the demonic world yet, we have our ultimate attorney Jesus contesting on our behalf.

When we pray the proceeding in the courtroom of Heavens, summon:

1.     Affidavit: Prayer is like an affidavit. It includes confession, petition and supplication about our situation. It is an affirmation of the state of affairs and an appeal for a favourable answer. Hence during routine customary prayer the courts in Heavens are convened. Psalms 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. Between our cry and God’s deliverance, a whole lot of activity happens in Heaven.

2.     Accuse: For every affidavit there will be a counter attack from the demonic. Revelation 12:10 For the accuser(devil) of our brothers has been thrown down—he who accuses them day and night before our God. As we pray, praise and petition, the demonic retaliations are inevitable.  The accuser is accusing us day and night. Our prayers activate the accuser(demonic) however, we have an attorney who nullifies and annuls the accusations against us. Jesus our attorney pleads and intercedes on our behalf.

3.     Adjudicate: The final verdict comes from the judge on the white throne. When the demonic files a financial suit of bankruptcy against us, Jesus bails us out. When the case is against our character, Jesus will stand as the advocate and provide the collateral with His blood. When the demonic world charges us with faults, failures and frenzy, Jesus defends and discharges all our debts with the price that He paid on the cross. However, our case will never be picked up for discussion if we sleep-in or miss-out on our time of prayer. If the applicant is absent the case will be adjourned or even closed.

Hell is more awake than we are when we wake up in the morning to pray. Prayer summons the courts of Heaven and Jesus stands as our supreme advocate. If we take a peek into the Heavenlies and look at the activations, actions and adjudications during our supplication, we will never stop praying.

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, I can never thank you enough for being an attorney general in the courtroom of Heaven. Teach me to submit authentic, bona fide and truthful affidavits(prayers). Amen
