16 November 2021 – Angelic Beings – Part 5

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Angelic soldiers are present where the Sovereign Lord reigns. We don’t have to look for angels; we only have to seek the presence of the Lord. Where the Lord is present His soldiers will automatically populate. The Bible does not say, Elisha peeped through his window and saw a multitude of fiery horses and chariots surrounding them. Elisha was a prophet who listened to the heartbeat of God. Even before the enemy convoy left their borders, the Lord would have informed and prepared Elisha. From his prayer closet Elisha saw the heavenly military force mustering around the mountains to defend him. God’s presence surrounds us with God’s protection.

The principles and the protocol of Theocracy (rulership of the heavenly King) are very similar to monocracy. As the arrival of the king was announced, the audience were prepared for the entry of the emperor, our praise and worship prepares us for the arrival of God’s presence.Dwelling in His presence saturates our territories  with angelic reinforcement.

Hosts of angels are God’s divine army:

  1. Revere: Where the Lord is revered, the angelic hosts are present. Angels herald and hearken the Sovereign King. We get distracted in prayer because we don’t realize that the King of Kings has arrived. Our attention will not wander if a celebrity visits our home. In our prayer closet, when our spiritual eyes are focused on Jesus, the King of the universe, our conversation, closeness and communion with Him will not be distracted. Reverence to the Lord instills angelic insulation.
  1. Respect: Where the Word of God is respected, the angelic hosts permeate.  The angels are attentive to the reading and nourishing of the Word of God as it is the language of Heaven. As swearing, foul language and malicious talk attract the demonic, the refreshing Word of God invites the angelic. The Word of God is the siren that draws watchful divine soldiers to surround our lives. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen (1 Peter 1:12). Angels listen insatiably to our wise Godly conversation. They are present at Bible studies, gospel meetings and everywhere the good news of Jesus is preached. Ignoring the Word of God will dismantle and disperse divine protection.  Preaching  and studying God’s Word magnetizes angels.
  1. Rule:  Where the King is on the throne His army will be on duty. We repeatedly read about the Heavenly throne and the angels worshipping Him around the throne. The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them (Psalms 68:17).  When we pray, “Thy will be done”, we empower God’s rule and rulership over our life. Living in God’s kingdom on earth is to submit to His will obediently and willingly. There will be no scarcity of God’s servants in God’s Kingdom. God’s will, establishes His kingdom and His servitudes.

Angels are our divine army.

2 Kings 6:16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

Prayer: Dear Jesus, Your kingdom overflows with divine soldiers. May thy will be done and your kingdom be established in my life.  Amen.
