An unstoppable natural calamity is termed as an “Act of God”. Meteorologists study satellite data radar information to forecast weather. They predict trends and changes in weather and climatic conditions however, they can only forecast bad weather, storms, squalls, typhoons and tremors but cannot change the veracity of the condition or alter the virulence of its devastation. The deadly tornado outbreak in December 2021 left catastrophic damages stripping acres of Central and Southern United States. Unfortunately meteorologists cannot precisely predict the occurrence of tornadoes. Severe storms and weather conditions can be forecasted but a funnel cloud of tornadoes cannot be detected through radar nor can its path and touchdown points be predicted.
Tornadoes are formed by a collusion of warm and cold air usually causing an updraft and thunderstorms. A praying child of God, filled with the Holy Spirit, is like a tornado that tears down the diabolical ghetto. No witch or warlock can predict the power of a praying Christian. As godliness increases and Godlikeness overpowers the ugliness of sin, hatred and envy, the power of God flows through us and rips the roof off the demonic dungeons. As we kneel down to pray every morning, tornados of confusion, convolutions and conundrum shreds the demonic congregations and committees that are congregating to harm, hurt or harass us. The plans of the dark world are frustrated by our sincere and unassuming prayers. He frustrates the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot carry out their plans (Job 5:12). “Fight your battles on your knees and you will win every time” – Charles Stanley. A praying Christian is unstoppable.
Three effects of zealous prayers that makes us unstoppable:
- Tremors: Persistent prayers send tremors into the demonic ditch. 2 Kings 7:6a&7a For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians hear the sound of chariots and of horses, the sound of a great army; So they got up and fled in the dusk”. Never be intimidated by the monstrosity or the multitude of the opponent. Prayer sends tremors of fear down the spine of the enemy. Persistent prayers petrify the enemy.
- Tempest: Pertinent prayers roll like tempests and destroy demonic plans. Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. (2 Chronicle 20:22). Relevant prayers undergirds our presents and secures our future. Pertinent prayers excavate the intrusion of the enemy.
- Triumph: Powerful anointed prayers masticates the muscle of the enemy. Sincere prayers have a boomerang effect on the enemy’s attack. “The LORD will make your enemies, who rise against you and attack from one direction, to flee from you in seven directions (Deuteronomy 28:7). One fiery dart of the enemy against us will return back to them as seven lethal attacks. “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). Simple prayer with a clean, untainted and unpolluted heart will drop bombshells in the enemy’s camp causing utter destruction. Pure, powerful, anointed prayers bring triumph.
Persistent, pertinent and powerful prayers make us unstoppable.
Psalm 27:3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that I will overflow with the divine power of the Holy Spirit that will devastate, frustrate and sabotage the plans of the enemy. Amen.
