Mark 11:23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
The Biblical mouthwash divinely manufactured, branded and recommended by Jesus is Mark 11:23. Day in and day out, the Israelites in the Roman regime spoke about the pagan oppression, unlawful imposition of taxes and religious mockery. They yarned and longed for the Messiah but they only spoke about the ginormous mountains that they faced. Jesus said, change your vocabulary and uproot the monstrous mountain. We can defeat the mountain of depression, repression and subjugation with the words of our mouth. Our tongue is a powerful tool that can defeat and overcome the enemy. Both ancient Israel and modern Israel had not forgotten the great escape and the journey from Egypt to Canaan. So, to speak to the mountain and command it to throw itself in the sea brought the indelible memories of God drowning the brutal Egyptian army in the Sea. Hence, the divine mouthwash of the promises of God will change the proclamations of our mouth and drown the intimidating enemy of doubt, dread and depression in the sea.
We can create a way where there is no way with our words. “I create the fruit of the lips,” Says the LORD, “And I will heal him” (Isaiah 57:19). God’s word on our lips is the dynamite that blows up the impenetrable mountains. Look into the future and speak healing, straighten crooked path and sing conversion. Transformation happens when our tongue testifies the goodness of God. Take words with you and return to the LORD (Hosea 14:2). Reminding the Lord about His promises are the most effective mountain removal prayers. Turn the promises into prayers.
Mouthwash your tongue with God’s Word:
- Monstrosity: Brush twice daily to drown the monstrosity of the devouring monster. Blessed is the one who reads (Revelation 1:3). As we brush morning and night, our mind and mouth must be cleansed from mourning and muck by reading God’s Word. The Word of God will remove the fear of the formidable pathogen. Pluck the mountain of fear before it gets planted by reading God’s word.
- Mountain: Flossing everyday removes the plaque and food particles hidden in the crevices of the teeth. Likewise, floss the mind by meditating on the Word at dawn and dusk. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it (Joshua 1:8). Before the mole mounts into a mountain, floss your mind by meditating on the Word. Repeating, reiterating and reverberating the Word removes the mountain of fret, failure and famine.
- Mouthwash: Mouthwash to get rid of the germs. Mouthwash your tongue by repeating the Word of God. The declaration of the mouth refreshes and renews the mind. Discussing about the pandemic and repeating the pandemonium will intensify the evil forebodings. So stop talking about the mountain. The promises of God washes the germs and cleanses the bacteria that causes cavity, gum-infection and smelly mouth.
Read, reverberate and refresh your mouth with the mouthwash of God’s word to remove the mountain.
Psalm 39:1 “I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, so long as the wicked are in my presence.”
Prayer: Pappa God, You created the world with Your Words. May my words be affirmative and invigorative to uproot the intimidations of the enemy. Amen.
