16 April 2022 – Heaven is Real – Part 1

2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.

The longest flight in the world is 18 hours from Singapore to New York which covers about 9,500 miles. However, the longest journey that everyone will embark on after death, is to Heaven/hell. This journey is inevitable as the death rate on the earth is 100%! Around the world, three people die every second, 180 every minute and 11,000 every hour. Death is a step into the celestial outer space.

Paul was privileged with an ‘once in a lifetime experience’ to visit Heaven, while he was on earth. From the scriptures we know that there are three heavens. The first heaven or “the Atmospheric Heaven” refers to the blanket of atmosphere/air, gas in which birds and clouds move. Fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven (Gen 1:20b). The second heaven or “the Stellar – Outer Space” that contains the sun, the moon, stars and the galaxies. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night (Gen 1:14a). The third Heaven – is the Headquarter of God Almighty. The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven (Psalm 11:4). Heaven is not a mysterious, mystical or mythical  fable. Heaven is a real place; It is a planet where God resides.

Truths about Heaven:

1.     Time: Heaven is not ruled by time or the two great lights. When we die, we step out of time. Time is controlled by the solar system. Death moves us far above atmospheric Heaven and the stellar outer space into the third heaven. Scientist and astronomers confirm that there is an empty space in the “north”, past the celestial bodies, far beyond the radar of the telescopes. “Out of the north comes golden splendor; Around God is awesome majesty (Job 37:22). Heaven is governed by God’s timetable and God’s timeline.

2.     Tiredness: We will not be famished by tiredness, weariness or fatigue in Heaven. It’s a place bustling with energy, awesomeness and activities. All the sickness, illness and fractures in the physical body will vanish. There will be no pain, death or sorrow. There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain (Revelation 21:4). Heaven is a stress-free, pain-free and fatigue-free zone.

  1. Tests: We will step outside temptations, trials and tests of this world. In Heaven, we will never be tempted to lie, cheat, hurt or hide. There is no darkness nor demons to tempt us. Heaven is a sin-free zone.

Heaven is real. It is a time-free, fatigue-free and temptation-free zone. I would rather go to Heaven alone than go to hell in company.” — R. A. Torrey.

Amos 9:6a He builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth.

Prayer: Father God, help me to fathom the splendid home that you have prepared for me. Let the truth about the reality of heaven sink into my spirit. Amen.
