Deuteronomy 28:2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.
“Obedience is the growth hormone for blessings. Growth hormone regulates the fat, muscle, tissue and bone in our bodies, as well as other aspects of our metabolism such as insulin action and blood sugar levels. The metaphor is true spiritually. Obedience to ‘God’s Word, God’s voice and God’s will’ regulates our spiritual growth by trimming pride, stubbornness and arrogance. Obedience nourishes our soul and bolsters our spiritual skeleton to remain sturdy and strong. If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth (Deuteronomy 28:1). Obedience prevents us from falling into spiritual sickness.
We don’t have to pray for blessings. Obedience automatically removes barriers and embellishes our life with God’s favour. A disobedient life will sprout up thorns and thistles and spoil the soil of our soul. Thorns represent curse or the evil arm of the demonic force that steals, kills and destroys. Disobedience gives the devil access to steal our families and finances; kills joy and peace and destroys unity and progression. Disobedience turns a pasture into a parched land of prickles and rubbles. Obedience revamps the garden of our soul, removes curses and the effects of sorcery and spells. Obedience sows good seeds in the fertile soil. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows (Galatians 6:7).

Envy, worldly enticements and demonic entanglements drag us into disobedience.
Obedience is the 3rd Key to turn curses into blessings:
1. Envy: Envy disfigures our spiritual frame. Envy rots the bones. (Proverbs 14:30b). The pituitary gland in the brain controls the growth hormone of the body. Lack of growth hormone is usually caused by damage to the ‘pituitary gland’ by a tumor or blood infection. This tumor spiritually is the tumor of jealousy. Envy is a cancerous tumor that steals away our blessings. We will lack no good thing when we walk in obedience. We don’t have to covet the blessings of others. Remove the tumor of envy.
2. Enticement: Enticements derail us into destructive disobedience. The urge to do something in a hurry is not from God, it is a demonic temptation to make impetuous decisions. Calm down the gushing temptation and wait for God to speak into your heart. Slowdown to decipher demonic enticement from divine direction.
3. Entanglements: Wrong entanglements and friendships will distract us and lure us into disobedience. “Show me who your friends are, and I will tell you what you are” – Vladimir Lenin. Sever wrong companions and entanglements.
Obedience is the fertilizer that nourishes our soul and makes us fruitful. Obedience is the growth hormone that ensures divine favour and divine blessings.
Exodus 19:5 if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people.
Prayer: Lord God, I submit to walk in obedience. Give me the strength to pluck out the cancerous tumor of envy, purge my life from worldly enticements and sever wrong entanglements. Amen
