Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Proclamation of God’s word is vital for a victorious life as His Word will not return back empty. If we speak life over the dead and dry areas of our life, God’s Word that is packed with life and power will revive the loveless marriage, derailed career, damaged relationship, defiled heart and deficiency in the finance. Proclamation of God’s Word turns into divine sprinklers of precious dew and rain from heaven.
The words we speak will germinate and bear fruit and food – seed for the sower and bread for the eater. It will nourish our present needs and shape our glorious future. A man’s belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; with the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied (Proverbs 18:20). We will eat what we speak. If we speak dread and death we will reap unfruitfulness. He turns the fruitful land into salty wastelands, because of the wickedness of those who live there (Psalm 107:34). Violent, vulgar and vicious words will make a fertile field into a salty wasteland!However, proclamation of God’s promises, polite and pleasant replies will turn a wasteland into a well-watered garden. There is power in our proclamations!
Proclaim God’s Word and turn the wasteland into a well-watered garden:
1. Empty: God’s Word is power-packed ammunition that will destroy the enemy’s plan. Speak God’s protection over your future. God’s Word will fill the empty and void areas of your life with wisdom and wealth. Speak God’s Word over defeat and turn it into victory. Proclaim God’s Word into barren wombs, empty bank accounts and purposeless life and witness God turning the emptiness into fullness.
2. Energy: God’s Word energizes the soul. God’s Word is full of life, substance, nutrients, proteins and vitamins. Releasing God’s Word will activate supernatural intervention into our situation. As we proclaim the promises we will be charged with divine energy.
3. Elevate: The pathway to breakthrough is not by whining and mourning but proclaiming God’s Word and His promises. Bible scholars believe that ‘songs of ascent’ (Psalm 120-134) were pilgrimage songs of ascent back to Jerusalem from the exile. Songs of praise or ascent will break loose of all captivity, bondages, addictions, disappointments, demotions and detentions. Proclaiming God’s Word is the pathway to elevation.
Proclamation of promises will release God’s power-packed life-giving Word. God’s Word will never return empty handed. It will accomplish God’s plan and God’s purpose.
Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that He may come and rain righteousness upon you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to grip onto your Word and hold fast to my proclamations and confession until I see your word bearing fruits in my life. Amen.
