Jeremiah 1:8-9 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.
An insurance policy is a legal contract between the insurance company (the insurer) and the person(s), business, or entity being insured (the insured). In this contract (policy) the insurer promises to pay for losses caused by perils covered under the policy in exchange of a premium payment paid by the insured.
As long as we live in the physical body on earth, the Lord God has covered us with insurance policies. There is a divine policy cover for our health, wealth and wellbeing. We have zero control over our lives. We don’t know when our heart will stop pumping and our lungs will stop functioning. We have no control over floods or forest fires. We have absolutely no control over our jobs, career or relationships. However, we need not live in panic about the perils. God has covered us with a divine insurance policy. The policy details are enlisted in God’s Word. Everything that we need is covered in His divine policy. He commands us not to worry about ‘anything’. Do not be anxious about anything (Philippians 4:6s). Anything covers everything!
The premium for this policy is paid with the ‘blood of Jesus’ and we can access this policy only through faith. From the day we commit our lives to Jesus our relationships, reputation and ranch are fully covered by God’s insurance policy. Our vigor and victories are covered by God’s insurance policy. Our children, their future and their safety are covered by God’s insurance policy.
The Lord God gave Prophet Jeremiah a comprehensive insurance cover when He called him to be the “Weeping prophet for Israel”. Jeremiah was intimidated by the rebellious ruthless rulers but the Lord assured him that there was a divine policy that covered his words and his prophecy. Authority and boldness to be God’s mouthpiece comes from God’s divine insurance policy.
God has insured the words of your mouth:
1. Perils: Speak about progress, not about your perils and problems. Jesus said, speak to the mountain of fear and it will disappear. Speak to the barrier of disunity, dissonance and discord and it will dissipate. Don’t discuss doom, destruction and death, speak life and lusciousness. God has insured your words and He will honour the proclamations of faith.
2. Policy: We can exercise the policy only if we don’t violate the rule. “Dos & Don’ts” must be adhered to. We cannot curse, mourn and grouch throughout the day and expect our prayers to be honoured. Contradictory words cancel the policy.
3. Premium: Premium for this divine policy is the blood of Jesus and faith is our access card. Without faith in God and His written word we will have no access to the divine policy.
God has insured the words of our mouth so, speak life.
Jeremiah 1:10 “See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
Prayer: Father God, thank you for the covering of your divine insurance policy. May I speak golden words of faith. Amen.
