11 August 2023 – Praise Powerbank – Part 6

2 Chronicle 20:18-19 Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord. Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.

Praise God in desperation. When we pull out the powerbank of praise in desperation it throws the diabolical world into confusion. The devil is fully aware of the power of praise and he tries to steal the powerful weapon of praise from our lips. Lucifer was the worship leader in heaven before he was condemned as the evil leader of the dark world. Praise brings the presence of God and worship turns into an atomic weapon to destroy the plots of the enemy.

King Jehoshaphat heard that a vast army had camped against him. He knew he was outnumbered and they would obliterate him and wipe out his kingdom. In desperation his immediate reaction was praise. He pulled out the powerbank of praise and plugged his faith and hope into it. He recharged his soul by praising God. He knew he was outnumbered by armory and military yet, his instinctive response was praise. He did not praise God for the invasion but praised God as He is bigger, mightier and more powerful than the insidious coalition that had come against him. “Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you” (vs 6b). Praise shifts the dependability back into God. Praise puzzles the demonic assembly.

In desperate situations the first thing that the demonic forces look for are our words of exasperation and frustration. Our hopeless ranting opens the door of entry for the demons to invade and ravage our lives. Instead when we praise and worship our territory is fortified by the firewall of God and His angelic army.

Praise God in desperation:

1.     Outnumbered:  When outnumbered by mockers and slanderers, Praise God. Praise will shut the mouth of the demeanors. When we face monstrous giants and ruthless people who gloat about their power and misuse their authority, start praising God. Jehoshaphat won the outnumbered enemy with the armory of praise. Praise will shut the mouth of the slithering serpent and overturn the outnumbered enemy.

2.     Outwit: Praise will outwit the enemy and outsmart their menacing ways. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated (vs 22). Praise will trigger atomic ammunition into the enemy’s camp.

3.     Outbreak: Praise in our home will cause an outbreak of confusion in the enemy’s coalition. The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another (vs 23). Praise will outburst joy and confidence in us, but will outbreak violence and seditious rivalry in the enemy’s camp.

The powerbank of praise is the most powerful weapon in desperate situations.

Job 5:9 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, when I face fearful situations, remind me to pull out the powerbank of praise and throw hell into desperation.  Amen.
