Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Jesus, the Prince of Peace, brought the Kingdom of God to us. The pivotal focus of His message was that the Kingdom of God is within us (Luke 17:21). The Kingdom of God within us is described as “Righteousness”, “Peace” and “Joy” in the Holy Spirit. “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
The Kingdom of God is not a place but a lifestyle. It is a lifestyle of righteousness, calm confidence (peace) and unshakable joy. The social conditions and choices will heavily impact our lifestyle. “Tell me your friend and I’ll tell you who you are”. The lifestyle of the uneducated fishermen, the corrupt tax collectors and doubters changed when they hung out with Jesus. Three major noticeable changes that will accentuate in the life of those who choose to walk with Jesus are “Righteousness” (truth, integrity and honesty), “Peace” (serenity and calmness in the storm) and “Joy” (bubbling delight of the heart). Peace that is sandwiched between “righteousness” and “joy” glues the right choices and divine happiness together. ‘Peace under pressure’ and ‘serenity in the storm’ will become the lifestyle of those who walk with the Prince of Peace, Jesus.
Overcome qualm, questions and quarrels with the Prince of Peace.
His name is the “Prince of Peace”:
1. Qualm: Qualm is an evil foreboding or a bad apprehensive feeling about something that soon turns into a heavy burden. Qualm can grow into a burdensome worry in no time. Invite the Prince of Peace and He will give you a promise that will calm the qualm.
2. Questions: There are some questions that will never be answered on this side of life. The Prince of Peace will bring closure to the open ended questions.
3. Quarrels: Invite the Prince of Peace into the quarrels and the struggling relationships. He will give you the wisdom to extend grace and fill your heart with peace.
The Prince of Peace will fortify the Kingdom of God in you.
Prayer: Jesus, The Prince of Peace, help me to overcome the weight of the problems and the pressure with divine peace. Amen.
