Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
The miracle-minded have an “I Can” mindset. “I Can” mindset sprouts from deep-rooted faith. “I Can” mindset looks beyond the human limitations, insufficiencies and abilities and fixates its eyes on God’s potency and power. Hence, no challenge can intimidate a person with an “I Can” mindset. It is a mindset that says, For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall (Psalm 18:29).
The Apostle Peter is normally battered for his impetuous reactions and his betrayal yet, he was a man with an “I Can” attitude. He was the first to put his hand up for any assignment. He assumed the position of the leader and the personal secretary of Jesus. When Jesus told him to go back into the sea that gave them no fish all night, he was willing to submit. “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets” (Luke 5:5). He did not question the fishing skills of Jesus but submitted to His direction. He not only had an “I Can” mindset but also had an “I Will” attitude. Peter was also the only disciple who was willing to die with Jesus. Peter said to Him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” (Matthew 26:35). “I Must” is a resolute mindset to persevere until the very end. Peter had an “I Must” passion.
“I Can”, “I Will” and “I Must” is the mindset of the Miracle-minded.
Miracle-Minded Mindset:
1. I Can: With the Lord on our side nothing will be impossible. “I Can” mindset is gripped by the strength in Jesus.
2. I Will: Miracle-minded are surrendered to the direction of the Lord, no matter how trivial the instruction may be. “I Will” is a positive mindset and is fixated on obedience and surrender.
3. I Must: Miracle-minded is anchored to passionately serve God and glorify Him. To pray until the answer is received, to pound heaven until they hear and to petition until the door is opened is the “I Must” mindset of the miracle-minded.
The miracle-minded are gripped, fixated and anchored on Jesus.
Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, I can do all things through the strength that I draw from you. Amen.
